Melamine is an organic compound that can be combined with formaldehyde for making melamine resin, which is well water, heat & arc resistant and bright. It can also be used in decorative laminates and wood adhesives, aminoplastics, adhesive agents, coatings and used as a paper reinforcing agent, textile auxiliaries,flame retardants, cement water-reducing agent and leather retaining agent etc.

It is thermoplastic, insoluble in water, gaso line and ethanol, expandable or soluble in ether, ketone, fatty chlorohy-drocarbons or aromatic hydrocarbons with strong anti--corrosiveness, and good dieletric property.
