Strontium Acetate Properties and application: White fine crystals. Water of crystallization is lost at 150ºC. Anhydrous density 2.099. The intense heat is converted to strontium carbonate. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol. Made from strontium carbonate acting on acetic acid. Used as a chemical reagent; Microscopic crystallization of carbon dioxide, drop analysis of carbonate, cyclohexanol test.
